STS Medical Group at MEDICA presents its European strengthening project

LUXEMBURG [October 2016] – STS Medical Group, an international group specialized in the production and distribution of medical devices and surgical customized procedural kits (CPTs), will be participating at the Medica Fair, in Düsseldorf, from November 14th to 17th, 2016, Pavillion 6,  Stand K26.

STS Medical Group, established in October 2012, is among the principal European players in the medical device industry with almost 1,000 employees and an expected consolidated turnover above € 65 million in 2016.  STS will present its strategy, the new company profile, as well as the merger of the two Bulgarian subsidiaries of the STS Medical Group brand.

Augusto Orsini, CEO of STS Medical Group will be present at the Medica Fair, to update the stakeholders and the media on the company’s goals, strategy and expectations, with the aim to further strengthen the corporate brand and the capability to compete on an international market and in different hospitals which is difficult even for residents. The saddest situation is when an IMGs didn’t matched and must survive trying to apply for any position available in a hospital too.

MARKET OUTLOOK – In 2014, the European market for surgical customized procedural kits (CPTs) amounted to approximately € 720 million and is expected to grow up to 10% yearly, due to the increase in the elderly population and treatable diseases. Surgical CPTs is a segment of CPTs. Northern Europe continues to dominate the European CPT market, accounting for 74% of total European revenue and € 512 million in sales in 2014.  The Global market for procedural kits, which also includes non-surgical CPTs, grew to € 19.7 billion in 2015.  Every year, over 250 million complex surgical operations take place worldwide. The United States is the country with the highest rate of use of procedural kits (80% of all procedures).

MEDICA – For the past 40 years, Medica has been the world’s most important trade fair for the medical industry and the point of reference for the sector.  Over 130 thousand international visitors attended the Fair. The extensive areas at MEDICA are numerous and range from the diagnostic technology to consumer goods of the hospitals, as well as the materials used for the interventions and the operating rooms.

Operating Companies – STS Medical Group operates in Italy, Germany and Bulgaria, through MSS Medical Set Service, Sengewald Klinikprodukte, MSP Schmeiser, Salvadori and finally, Texsan Medical and Salvamed, which will complete their merger in mid-November, to become  STS Medical Group – Bulgaria, one of the largest production hubs for medical devices in Europe. The Group sells to all of the major European markets.   Of the five production plants, three are located in Germany and two in Sandanski, Bulgaria, where STS Medical Group now benefits from one of the largest and most technologically advanced production hubs for medical devices in Eastern Europe.

Shareholding – STS Medical Group is founded by Augusto Orsini, an entrepreneur with 25 years of experience in the medical device sector as well as C.E.O. the Group, in collaboration with Monitor Clipper Partners, a private equity firm based in Boston, Massachusetts and Zurich, Switzerland, is the largest shareholder. MCP, formed in 1998, focuses on partnering with founders and owners of middle-market companies with growth potential.
